Our Mission

As a women-owned business, we understand the importance of supporting DEI initiatives. Many industries fail to support these initiatives, and the intellectual property industry is no different. Patent Hacks® was born from our desire to democratize intellectual property by making it more affordable and accessible for all entrepreneurs. Our DEI program aims to make that possible for underserved communities by leveraging sponsors to support DEI-focused entrepreneurial organizations nationwide.

Promoting Diversity

Based on a recent study, minorities make up only ~25% of all patent applicants. This number is even more concerning when you break it down further. Each of these communities makes up only a fraction of the ~25%:

Asian 18.7%
Hispanic 3.3%
American Indian 1.0%
Mixed Race 1.0%
Black 0.4%

To help combat this underrepresentation, our DEI program supports Minority Business Centers, Economic Development initiatives, Diverse Business support programs, etc.

EVERYONE DESERVES A CHANCE

Supporting Inclusion

Based on a recent study, women make up only ~12% of all patent applicants. This is a shocking statistic since, as of 2022, females make up a majority of the population in the US. The intellectual property industry has been historically male-dominated, but through our DEI program, we aim to promote inclusion that balances the industry and makes it more equitable for all.

To help combat this underrepresentation, our DEI program supports Women’s Business Centers, Economic Development initiatives, Diverse Business support programs, etc.
